The 2012 season has now gotten underway. The early season Kettering Hilly event was the first outing for 4 members of the Team. The weather conditions were atrocious for all competitors with torrential rain and temperatures of 4 degrees causing sub zero conditions in the wind. The course is a sporting venue around Isplip in Northamptonshire countryside over a series of A and B roads.First to ride was Andy Green who had been in the wind tunnel this winter months with a radically revised position
.Andy rode well to make a big improvement on last years time with a great 47.08 for 6th place.

Craig Twigg 48.05 |
Next to ride was Matt Sinclair who was looking to put a good winters training to use. Matt rode to a time of 44.20 and broke the 20 year old course record by 17 seconds having dropped his chain on the circuit and having had to dismount. This time stood for 20 minutes until Matt Bottrill of Drag2 zero improved on Sinclair's time by a further 1.28 to smash the course record further and pushing Matt Sinclair to a brilliant 2nd place. Craig Twigg in preparation for the South African iron man in April rode to a time of 48.50 for tenth having run 22miles the day before.(Nutter!!).

New recruit Ashley Roue had his first outing in his new team colours and finished in 51.28. Ash did well to complete the course after a mechanical failure had meant that his tri-bars had come loose and dropped off with 6 miles and some of the hilliest sections of the course yet to complete. Unlucky Ash.
Lutterworth Cycle Centre Race Team took the overall team prize. Great team win lads.
