Well as May came and went with high winds and lowsy weather , guess what June has been worse. To continue where we left off the prevailing wind has continued and indeed strengthened but this has not dampened the results of the Team, out and battling in all conditions.
Team stall wart Matt Sinclair goes into this weekend competing in the Hinckley CRC 10 and 25 on two consecutive days as pre race favourite. A win in these events would see Matt only beaten once in June by I Rides Matt Botterill taking his tally of wins for the season in to double figures.Other team members competing in this event are Craig Twigg, Humphrey Green and Paul Tomkins. The team on current form should have a good shot at the overall team prizes.
Results in June to date are,
Mercia HBM CC 25 Ian Wrobleski 55.21 (6th) , Paul Tomkins 55.32 , Andy Green 56.20
1st in team prize
Melton Olympic 25 Matt Sinclair 50.32 (1st)
Leicester RC 10 Matt Sinclair 20.29 (1st) , Andy Green 21.31 (3rd)
Mapperley CC 10 Paul Tomkins 21.52 ( 2nd vet /10th overall)
Newark Castle 25 Matt Sinclair 52.24 (1st),Craig Twigg 52.34 (2nd),
Andy Green 54.28 (5th) , Paul Tomkins 55.36 (9th).
1st placed in team prize.
Leicester Forest 25 Matt Sinclair 51.59 ( 2nd to Matt Botterill)

Update for May
As May 2011 comes to conclusion a few general observations can be made.
1. Its bloody permanently windy
2. Its still f@ck!n windy.
The highlight of May is acknowledged to be the national 10 held this year in Tyneside. We had Matt Sinclair in fine form heading to the champs. Matt finished in 27th position which was a great ride. The difference at the champs is that 20 seconds was all that separated him from a top 10 placing so brilliant ride.
Andy Green again ventured south to compete on the U courses of Bristol combining a family outing. He rode the "Bristol South 10 U7" course in a time of 21.41 to take 7th and the "VTTA U48 10 "in 21.36 to take second place. Good riding to perform on both days consecutively.Brilliant.
Craig Twigg was once again concentrating on his Ironman career by entering the half ironman in Mallorca finishing with a respectable 17th place out of 3000 entries and being in the top quarter of the professional athletes competing. He also combined this with his stag weekend as he is getting married in July.
Ian Wrobleski has been out competing in a number of local events. Ian rode the fast F1/30 to finish in a great time of 1:08:50 to take fifth place in blustery conditions only 2 minutes down on the winner Sam Barker of Planet X on his home hunting grounds which is no mean feat.
Matt made his first outing over 50 miles today in the Notts Clarion 50. He won in a time of 1:48:39 and caught second place rider Shaun Eden of Maperley for 5 minutes to win by over 6 minutes in very windy conditions taking the Alan Daniels Trophy home for this event.
Going into June we have teams entered for the Newark 25, Leics R.C 10, Hinckley weekend Mercia CC 25.
Please keep me informed of any rides or results that you may have it all counts.!!
The lads are doing brilliantly but we are looking for solid members to join our ranks so if you have anyone in mind let me know.Look forward to seeing you on the road.
Fast Wheels.

Weekend Double for Sinclair / Mallory Park win for Sturgeon
This week saw the return to the road of Carl Sturgeon who competed in the Thursday night round of the Mallory Park series with a win in his first outing. The race was hotly contested by an abundance of local and national talent but a break was formed which went clear and the final laps were contested by Sturgeon,Gee and Jennings with eventual winner Sturgeon sprinting to beat the Team Raleigh rider into second place with Jennings taking fourth place.

Melton Olympic 10/ Kettering 18.4 / Norland 30
Two of the team competed in the Melton 10 on the six hills course on Saturday afternoon. A strong field assembled with Lutterworth's Matt Sinclair as the pre race favourite.
Not to disappoint Matt destroyed the opposition by over 30 seconds in ideal conditions in a time of 20.02. Craig Twigg having had yet another complete weeks lay off completed a great comeback ride after his recent loss of form due to his iron man exploits with a time of 20.47 to finish fourth only 5 seconds behind the third place man James Coleman and second place rider James Perkins in 20.36. Ever green I ride veteran Geoff Platts was fifth in 21.01.
Andy Green took to the roads of Northampton in the Kettering 18.4 mile event to finish in fifth place in a time of 42.55 only 51 seconds behind event winner and favourite Sam Barker of Planet X. Andy who punctured with 2 miles to the finish soldiered on to complete the course and undoutably lost a lot of time possibly costing him a win in the event.
Sunday 8th May saw Matt and Ian Wrobleski once again competing in the Norland 30 mile event. Good conditions were once again the order of the day with a win for Matt doubling up for the weekend for the first time this year in a time of 1:02:49 for a 50 second win over second place man Jim Moffatt of Virgin Active. Ian finished in a great time of 1:07:36 for seventh place.
Just a note guys with a long season left we really could do with getting teams of three into these events, we are giving team prizes away for fun. Please contact either myself or post on here to tie up with other team members for any up and coming events.

1st May Weekend Results
Well the seasons is well under way and most the guys are all up and running. Several of the team raced this weekend at a number of local events with some excellent results.
Andy Green is flying and had entered the Dianne Cook Memorial 10 which moved from its usual course at Wolvey to the faster K10/10F at Princethorpe. A field of a high standard entered the event and with the weather conditions being far from ideal ,with very high winds the result was far from a given conclusion amongst the top seeds. Andy eventually finished 4th with 21.35 with Mike Wheeler finishing with a time of 23.38 in his first event of 2011. The event win was taken by John Simpkins / Drag 2 Zero in 21.00, second was Scott Povey / i ride in 21.03 and third was Matt Purshouse/ Warwick CC in 21.26.
The Hinckley 2- up 25 was the contested by a number of the local clubs with Lutterwoth RT having two of the seeded teams contesting the overall result. The event was held on the K41/25 which is a two lap course on the sporting Wolvey / A5 circuit near Hinckley. The weather was much as the day before with a strong wind on the outward leg from Wolvey towards Lutterworth. The event win was taken by Lutterworth's Andy Green & Dael Sidwell who destroyed the opposition by a minute over the sporting two lap's in a time of 53.51. Second place was secured by the second Lutterworth pairing of Matt Sinclair & Craig Twigg in 54.51. In third position were pre race favourites and the top seeded pairing of Matt Purshouse and Richard Shimmell in 55.05.
Other notable recent results were:-
Dael and Paul Sidwell ( HCRC) Warwicks Tandem 10 / 1st place in 21.26

New Blogg
Hi guys, well this is the start of a new idea for the Team. Ive been thinking about doing this for a while. So any results / races / ideas etc are much appreciated.
The guys have been out there racing for about a month now with some good results which is really encouraging for the season's as it is still very early. The weather has been exceptional for the most of April and you've only got to look at the early season times to see that.
Special mentions though go out to Matt Sinclair for his brilliant early form.
A Great result for Craig Twigg in the South African Iron man with 18 place.
A SPECIAL mention too on Twiggy's tan which wins him rider of the month. Never before has such a shade of orange been seen at the Leicester Hard Riders 29 on last bank holiday Monday.
As i said this is the start so keep me informed. Fast wheels to you all .
